Reassuring your Focus Part 2

"Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth and entered into a ship immediately, and that night they caught nothing.  But when the morning now came, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.  Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.   And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes." - John 21:3-6.

Where we put our focus is very important! They were able to catch the multitude of fish because they trusted in the vision of Jesus though they couldn't see it for themselves.

God sees what we cannot see!!!

The root of reassuring our focus is trust. It is trusting in God's vision and will for our lives and trusting in His voice, words, and promises.

To reassure your focus is to remove doubt and fear from what you are believing God to do in your life.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect". - Romans 12:2

Have you heard about the story of the businessman who always prays before getting into business with other people by Kenneth Hagin? Well, he did! Before signing any contracts or saying yes, he would pray about it, and tell the people who want to do business with him, that he needs to pray before deciding.

He doesn't just pray and then do. He prays, waits on God, and does what God instructs him to do. That is his secret to success and he has never entered a bad business deal.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10

One time, a contract for 10 million and a company for 100 thousand both came to him to sign a deal with them, but before he did, he prayed about it, waited on God, and then chose. The one he chose was that of the 100 000 as God had instructed him to do so.

Many would have thought him mad for not choosing the 10 million business contract, but he chose to obey God, rather than let greed overtake him and allow his sight to choose for him.  Months later, the company with the 10 million dollar contract ended up going bust, and the company with the 100 thousand dollar contract, flourished like the cedar tree in  Lebanon.

You see, because he trusted in God, and in what God saw at the time, and because his focus was always on God, he never entered a bad business deal, and he was successful in everything he did.

He was NEVER acquainted with failure. God's vision for his life became his reality because he always reassured his focus by abiding in Christ and trusting Him no matter what.

Just as faith is the root of hope, focus is the seed of both faith and fear. What you focus on will determine the fruit that will be produced.

Therefore, just as Peter also began to walk on water because he was focused on the word (Jesus), you will begin to walk on your situation as long as your focus remains steadfast on Christ in all situations and you are abiding in Him.  This will allow you to live continually in the realm of possibilities.

"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you". - Isaiah 26:3
