At The Edge

Not every blessing starts with a miracle or comes in the wrap you expect, or works out the way you think it ought to.  Oftentimes, it comes as a test or trial!!!

The whole point of the wait is for us to be refined and to prove the devil wrong. Yes, it's not easy but it's possible with the help of God. And when you don't understand, the best thing for you to do is to pray. Just pray! Perhaps prayer is a frustrating answer to give, but it's the best answer there is. What else are you to do? Complain? Be bitter? God hates murmuring, and when we murmur, we limit God’s power. The devil knows that, so he puts situations/ conversations our way that trigger us and leads us to the point of complaint & bitterness.

All of a sudden we are at the edge! Oh, the edge! Where all reason is lost and hope seems nowhere to be found and holding on…. Just holding on, seems pointless, fruitless, painful, frustrating, lonely, and tiresome. All you want to do is to let go, cry, roll up in a ball, and sulk and hate what God is putting you through, after months of believing and waiting...

Just when you feel like your grip is getting looser and weaker, and your eyes are swelling up from the tears you have been trying to hold in, that’s when you cry for help from God and tell Him to take control because, at that point, that is when you would need it the most. The devil is trying to push you off the edge and make you lose your grip, but don’t let him win. Don’t let your emotions take over your words and make you forget. Don’t forget!   At this point, this is where you cry up to God and ask Him why and thank Him all at the same time because at that moment, you realize that the process of the pain you are going through, is taking you to your place of gain…

    1. What a profound message reassuring us that the LORD would not let you fall from the edge because He remains our strength and my defense in those moments we think we are hopeless (Psalm 113:13-14).
