Symphonies Of Truth

  We tend to ask more instead of thank more.  We tend to need more instead of being content with what we have. We tend to forget what God has done for us, but remember the things He hasn't done. We tend to complain, instead of being grateful and praise Him. There is power in praise and thanksgiving.  In psalms 22:3 says,  "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel". God inhabits the praises of His people. To inhabit means to dwell in, to live in.  Where God is, there is favour and liberty. When He dwells in our praises, He favours them(supports our praises, gives His approval).  1Thessolonians 5:16-18 says, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus". Hebrews 13:15-16 says, "Through Jesus therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruits of lips that openly profess His name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for...

  TAg you're it Tag you are it You never really think it will happen to you until it does.  You never really think you'll be tagged until you are the embodiment of it. Until then, you think you are special. A superhuman. Untouchable.  Immune to it's deadly charm and destruction. Then one day, you taste its kiss and realize… Oh crap! TAG I AM IT!  It is who God says you are that matters... As I write this,  I'm finding it hard to grasp what I just wrote. We are humans, so we crave human approval even though subconsciously we know that what people think of us should not be important. Our thoughts of ourselves determine what we become. The bible says as a man thinketh so is he; If you think you are intelligent, you'll become intelligent, if you think you are excellent you'll become excellent. Even if you are in an environment where you are belittled and told the opposite of what you have chosen to believe in yourself. It takes strength and courage to not allow your mind and thoughts to be deceived and influenced by the words of others. Just because you are not performing in one place, doesn't mean you won't perform in another.  It takes courage and capability to realise who you are and who God created you to be. Next time is a world of opportunity.  It shows you that all is not lost and  hope is right around the corner, despite failure's scent still lingering after the disappointment of not getting what you expected. Despite the late nights, the sleepless nights, working hard and working to the bone, failure still found a way to creep in.  There is always next time. Next time is the link to the hope we need to carry ourselves through. It's just a setback, failure doesn't mean failure. It basically means hanging around with the big men and women of this world, with people who have made it in life.  People who are a force to be reckoned with and noticed the moment they walk into a room. The best place you can be in is acceptance.  Acceptance of where your life is heading. Acceptance of your age. Acceptance of what you haven't accomplished and what you have. Acceptance of the fact that time doesn't seem to be on your side and despite time not being on your side, God makes everything beautiful in His. Acceptance of the place you are in now, and not trying to speed things up and enjoying every minute of it. Acceptance of your plans not going the way you hoped. Honestly, if life happened the way we expected it to, we would be bored. A little mystery should be welcomed now and then. How many of us can say we truly enjoy the present? How many of us can say we took time to live in it.  We are always a little too late. Once it passes us by, we begin to miss it and have regrets. That's why it's called the past. The steps of a good man/woman are ordered by the Lord Psalm 37:23a. When God calls you, He doesn't just call you, and immediately you begin your calling.  That is not how it works, there is a process... life is a process! First, God will call you, and in calling you, He will reveal your purpose. He will reveal why you were born and why He brought you to this earth. After the calling, He will then prepare you. You need to go through the process of preparation! It is just like taking an examination. You have to study for it first before you can write it. I want to do spoken word!!! The first time I ever attempted such a thing was in grade 12 and people were shocked. They didn't think I hadn't in me, I didn't think I had it in me. Moreover, I was shy and suffered from social anxiety.  Even after that beautiful yet daunting moment, I still didn't think I had it in me. I just assumed I was lucky... God inhabits the praises of His people.  Therefore,  when in doubt, praise Him. When in pain, praise Him. When in fear, praise Him. When in despair, praise Him. And you will see His glory reign in your life and the wonderful things that He would do.
