Listen to your heart, you won't be disappointed.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a big fat king and a skinny little pauper. One day, the king and the pauper bumped into a magic genie. Well, the genie was in a fantastic mood, so he offered them both one wish each. Of course, the king loudly shared his. "I wish, I wish for all the gold in the world!" Now it was the pauper's turn to make his own wish. The pauper walked to a corner and turned away from the king and the genie.  He shut his eyes and said, "I wish I wish I wish I wish." Years later, the king and the pauper met again and the king was now driven demented with Gold! It was in his socks, his boots, under his pillow... The pauper, well the pauper was now the happiest man alive. The king was desperate to know what in the name of God did the pauper wish for? The king pleaded and pleaded. "Tell me your wish! Tell me your wish!" The pauper smiled, "alright hmm, I'll tell you. I wished I wished I wished I wished." The pau

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood...

Ephesians 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places...  For the longest time, I always used to wonder why people would say, "don't talk about your successes or what you want to do in life." I never understood it because I found it to be somewhat selfish and unbecoming. Why wouldn't you talk about your successes or plans? Why don't you want people to be as great as you? Or rather, why would you want people to remain stagnant or in poverty? Why don't you want people to know how you did it?  I always felt success or whatever it was people did,  was something that was to be shared so that everyone was given the same opportunity. The answers I got from people were very puzzling. "Don't tell people about your successes because they don't want you to be great and will make sure you don't succeed. They wish

And Then it Happens....

And then it happens... As you walk into your purpose after seeking it for an eternity or what seems like an eternity. Keeping your head up and your eyes on God, loving His presence and His most welcomed company.  You meet him or her unexpectedly!  When you are off guard, in your own space and your eyes are to the Almighty. Searching for the next step to take towards the path that has been created for you.  As you look down and forward, there he or she will be.  Found and looking back at you!  And from your space to their space, you both will enter a space created specifically for your journey.  Hand in hand waiting on Christ.  That is how it will all begin.- Kayinsola

The opportunity to die or a wasted life

Image
Imagine if you were given five weeks to live, will you see it as an opportunity to die or a wasted life? Before you think I'm suicidal, hear me out. If you were given 5 weeks to live, what would you do? Would you see it as an opportunity to do right by you, your faith, and God? So that when you die, you know you will be knocking on heaven's door. At this point, you get on your knees to confess every sin and wrong thing you may have done.  To clear the path to heaven and reach the place of everlasting peace and wonder. A place of sanctuary and glory.   I call it an opportunity to die because you are giving a chance, as well as time to make things right.   An opportunity to right your wrong and be right with God.  An opportunity to ensure that your heaven is sure.  Instead of having the uncertainty that hell may very well be the price that you will pay for the life you lived. However, if you see this as a waste of life, then the question is why? Why do you see it as a waste of li

The Romance no one speaks of

Singleness is a romance between you, yourself, and God. There is something electric about it. I can't explain it.  Just waking up every day in the presence of God is something I have always craved for. Now that I am at this place, it is so so unreal and yet so terribly amazing! I love it here❤️ -  Kayinsola

The Economics of Success and The Next Step

Image
I think before we could walk, talk, or think for ourselves, we were introduced to the economics of success and the next step.  Before we could stand, walk, and jump, we first had to learn how to crawl.  Before we could say full sentences, we first had to utter words that only made sense to babies but were absolute gibberish in the world of adults.   There were certain steps we had to take from babyhood to adulthood to be deemed successful in society and in life. After beauty, I think the next thing people focus on is being successful and the steps they need to take to get there.   We are brainwashed to believe that unless we do things the way society has mapped for us to do it, we won't be successful and we will miss the next steps of our lives.   To be successful, we are always told to follow the habits of rich and successful people to be rich and successful. If it were that simple, there would be no poverty, and third world countries would not exist...   I think along the road of

The Purpose of Becoming

Image
HaVe YoU fOuNd YoUr TaLeNt YeT? I remember when I was first told that we all have a talent because talents are gifts that we are born with, given by God.   For the longest time, I struggled to know what my talent was.   At first, I settled for singing because I knew how to and because I was in a choir.  Yet for some reason, I was not satisfied, I wanted more. I wanted something that would change the way people saw me. In the process of not being satisfied with my singing, I lost the ability to sing... well somewhat.   Nevertheless, that was okay because I felt that, that was not for me. Though I enjoyed the occasional exercising of the throat, I felt that singing was not the talent I needed to impact the world or at least the community around me.  I later in life realized how amazing and powerful singing could be when done with passion and determination, but by then my singing voice had been overused and under-trained.   At this point, I felt that I had squandered the one talent that G

Singleness is not a Taboo but a Gift! So embrace it

Image
Why is singleness seen as a taboo and not a gift? It should be embraced not shunned, and it should be shown not hidden.  Have you ever come across a group of people who find out you are single and begin to ask the question of why?! I have! I'm always asked why I am single and what is wrong with me.  "You are so pretty, you should have a boyfriend!"  As if relationships are based solely and purely on a person's looks.  It is much more than that. It goes beyond physical appearances and lustful feelings. Relationships are not trends that people should hop in and out of, but Journeys that people should take the time to consider and analyze. Now the question everyone is probably itching to ask is...... Why do I see singleness as a gift?  What is so pleasant about it that it should be celebrated instead of ignored or shunned? What is so pleasant about being alone and being lonely?   Why can't we just be in relationships and be happy? Why must we go through the journey o

Faith is the Key to open the door of possible impossibilities

Image
Faith opens the portal to new and unrealized dimensions. It is the key that you need, to bring the things that have already materialized in the spiritual world, into the physical world. With faith, the sky is no longer the limit, because you become limitless.  "For we walk by faith and not by sight" 2 Corinthians 5 vs 7 Boundaries are broken and endless possibilities are realized.  At this point, you are aware that you cannot do life on your own and you need God because, with God, nothing is impossible!!!  Dreams and impossibilities become achievements,  and mountains, whether literally or figuratively are moved. Faith is the key we need to open the door that will give us access to the road, which will lead us into a world of dimensions and limitless possibilities. However,  It all starts with one act....... Believing in Christ! The question is, do you have the audacity to believe?

The Positive thinking movement is a scam

Image
Failures are not meant to be ignored or erased, they are to be acknowledged. This sets you apart from the rest.     Acknowledging and overcoming not ignoring and achieving. We all at some point get to a place of disappointment and instead of avoiding the place by pretending it never happened or thinking happy thoughts, we should face it head-on and give it its rightful place.  I was listening to a song by D'Amelio which ironically is titled Be happy but is about being comfortable and okay in your sadness.      The Chorus goes, " sometimes I don't want to be happy, don't hold it against me. If I'm down just leave me and let me be sad.  Sometimes I just want to be lonely. Don't need you to hold me. If I'm low you don't need to care. Just let me be sad. What's the matter with that ." What's the matter with sadness? As LL Martin once said, " negative emotions like pain and hurt can actually be constructive. Motivating us to make importan
